Steve Dale Leaves Wrexham AFC Women

Wrexham AFC Women’s manager Steve Dale has announced his resignation from the Welsh club.

Dale will leave his position after four seasons in charge of the team. He led the team to promotion to the Adran Premier, the top tier of Welsh football, in 2023, as well as to two finals of the Welsh Cup Bute Energy.

In the final of this year, they were defeated 3-1 by Cardiff City.

After four fantastic seasons in charge of Wrexham AFC Women, I have made the decision to step down as manager to pursue other opportunities.

Dale added: “I would like to thank everyone at the football club for their support during my time here, and especially the staff and players for helping us make history with Wrexham AFC.

I am very proud of our achievements in the field and I am honored to have been able to participate in the growth of women’s football not only in Wrexham, but throughout North Wales.

I would like to wish everyone at Wrexham the best of luck for the future.”

Dale’s team also became the first Welsh women’s team to turn semi-professional after securing promotion in 2023.
