The South Korean forward Son Heung-Min scored his first goal to help Los Angeles FC achieve a 1-1 draw against FC Dallas on Saturday night.
Heung-Min scored unassisted six minutes into his third MLS appearance, giving LAFC (11-6-8) the lead.
Dallas (7-11-9) tied the score in the 13th minute when Logan Farrington, assisted by Patrickson Delgado, scored his fifth goal, the most of his career. Farrington had scored four goals in 29 appearances as a rookie last season.
Michael Collodi made four saves for Dallas in his fifth start. Collodi, 24, has allowed four goals while replacing injured starting goalkeeper Maarten Paes.
Hugo Lloris made a save for LAFC, who lead the all-time series 7-4-3 despite a 1-4-2 record in Frisco.

LAFC’s only away win in the series was a 3-2 victory on October 20, 2021. The club has a 3-3-6 away record this season.
They have lost only twice in their last 18 matches: 1-0 defeats at home to Portland Timbers and Vancouver Whitecaps.
Dallas has a 3-8-3 home record, but 2-1-2 in their last five games.
LAFC will host San Diego FC on August 31. Dallas will return to action on September 6 in St. Louis City.
