Real Madrid Apologizes for Error in Tribute to Diogo Jota
Real Madrid has issued a public apology after an error in a tribute video to Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva, who passed away in a car accident in Spain last July. During the club’s general assembly, instead of showing an image of André Silva, a photograph of Elche player André da Silva was used.The incident occurred on the same day that Real Madrid drew 2-2 with Elche in the Spanish League, thanks to a late goal by Jude Bellingham. The draw kept the team in first place in LaLiga, with a one-point lead over Barcelona.There was an error in the institutional video. We apologize, it was a human error.
