Raphinha Shone and Yamal Stood Out: Individual Awards for Barcelona
Barcelona winger Raphinha was awarded as the Player of the Season in LaLiga, this Friday. The Brazilian was key in the conquest of the domestic treble for his team.
His teammate, Lamine Yamal, was recognized as the Best Under-23 Player, solidifying his promising future.
Raphinha scored a total of 34 goals and 25 assists in 57 matches played across all competitions. Barcelona won the league title, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.The 28-year-old player arrived at Barcelona in 2022, coming from Leeds United, and recently extended his contract until 2028.
Raphinha scored a crucial goal in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Inter Milan. Despite this, the Italian team managed to equalize and ultimately win in extra time.This was Raphinha’s 13th goal in 14 matches in the competition this season.
Yamal, at just 17 years old, confirmed his status as one of the world’s most outstanding talents after a debut season. The winger scored nine goals in the league, in addition to five in the Champions League.
