Premier League Extends Price Cap for Away Tickets

Premier League clubs have unanimously agreed to extend the current £30 (approximately $40.56) cap on away ticket prices for a tenth consecutive season, the league announced on Tuesday.

Since the implementation of this limit in 2016, attendance at away games has experienced a significant increase, rising from 82% to 91%.

In the 2024-25 season, the cumulative attendance at the 380 matches reached the figure of 953,420 fans.

The Premier League and the clubs recognize the additional costs that fans face when following their team during the season, as well as the incredible atmospheres they create at matches.

This decision comes after fans of several Premier League clubs united under the Football Supporters’ Association’s “Stop Exploiting Loyalty” campaign, leading to a freeze on ticket prices for the upcoming season by clubs such as Liverpool, Brentford, and Manchester City.

The new season of the top tier of English football will begin on August 15th and conclude on May 24th, 2026.
