Portugal Crowned FIFA U-17 World Cup Champions
DOHA, Qatar – Portugal claimed the FIFA U-17 World Cup title on Thursday, after defeating Austria 1-0 in the final of a tournament that featured 48 nations, where European teams dominated by taking the top three places. The Benfica striker, Anísio Cabral, was slightly in a legal position to receive a pass and score in the 32nd minute. Cabral scored his seventh goal of the tournament.

This triumph represents the first U-17 title for Portugal and comes in the twentieth edition of an event that FIFA has expanded and now organizes annually.
