Wrexham’s star striker, Paul Mullin, has been loaned to League One side Wigan in a season-long loan deal.

The loan agreement is subject to approval from the English Football League and the Football Association, in addition to international clearance, Wigan reported.

Mullin’s relationship with Ryan Reynolds, one of the club’s owners, was so close that he even appeared in the latest “Deadpool” movie.
Although he was Wrexham’s Player of the Year in the previous three seasons, his participation was less in the season in which the team achieved promotion to the second division.
This sudden change comes for a player who has had a prominent role in the popular documentary “Welcome to Wrexham”, created by Reynolds and Rob McElhenney to follow their progress as owners of a football club.
McElhenney went as far as to call Mullin “one of the best footballers in the world.”
Mullin has scored 110 goals in 172 games for Wrexham.
