Paul Mullin Leaves Wrexham to Join Wigan on Loan

Wrexham’s star striker, Paul Mullin, has been loaned to League One side Wigan in a season-long loan deal.

I’m excited for the next chapter of my story. I’ve scored many goals in recent years, but more than anything, I give my all for the club I play for, and I’m going to do the same with Wigan.

The loan agreement is subject to approval from the English Football League and the Football Association, in addition to international clearance, Wigan reported. Mullin was fundamental in Wrexham’s rise, a team that has experienced remarkable growth since the arrival of the Hollywood owners.

Mullin helped Wrexham achieve a historic milestone: being the first team in the top five divisions of English football to secure three consecutive promotions. His importance to the team is such that he even has a giant mural in the city center. Mullin’s relationship with Ryan Reynolds, one of the club’s owners, was so close that he even appeared in the latest “Deadpool” movie. Although he was Wrexham’s Player of the Year in the previous three seasons, his participation was less in the season in which the team achieved promotion to the second division. This sudden change comes for a player who has had a prominent role in the popular documentary “Welcome to Wrexham”, created by Reynolds and Rob McElhenney to follow their progress as owners of a football club. McElhenney went as far as to call Mullin “one of the best footballers in the world.” Mullin has scored 110 goals in 172 games for Wrexham.
