Antony has been given permission to discuss personal terms with Betis, where he played on loan last season with success, but an agreement has not yet been reached.
There is still “work to be done”.

He arrived from Ajax in 2022, under the direction of former coach Erik ten Hag, but struggled to make a significant impact. His transfer of £86 million (116 million dollars) makes him the second most expensive signing in United’s history, after Paul Pogba.
Antony impressed in his loan to Betis last season, scoring nine goals in 26 matches, after his signing in January.
Upon his return to United this summer, he was excluded from the squad for the pre-season tour of the United States and was ordered to train separately from the first team with other players who were not in the plans, including Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho.
