Man in Court for Liverpool Parade Accident: 79 Injured

Last Friday, a British man appeared in court charged with causing grievous bodily harm following an incident during Liverpool’s Premier League title celebration parade.

Paul Doyle, a resident of West Derby, Liverpool, faces seven charges, including dangerous driving and two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. The defendant, 53, appeared before Liverpool Magistrates’ Court on Friday morning, where he confirmed his name, address and date of birth before the case was briefly adjourned.

The incident occurred on Monday night in downtown Liverpool, where an estimated crowd of one million people had gathered to celebrate Liverpool’s victory in the Premier League and witness the team’s open-top bus parade.
