Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has called the upcoming Premier League clash against Arsenal a “final.” This statement comes after City’s resounding 3-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, which has brought the team to within six points of league leaders Arsenal, with a game in hand. An impressive performance in the second half, with goals from Nico O’Reilly, Marc Guéhi and Jérémy Doku, sealed City’s victory. With Arsenal suffering a 2-1 home defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday, City now has the chance to win the title if they manage to win the remaining seven league games. The match against Arsenal at the Etihad is shaping up to be crucial. The “Gunners” are also aware that winning all their remaining six matches would secure them the championship.

“Arsenal is a final”, Guardiola affirmed. “But don’t tell me that Brentford [on May 9th] will be easy”.

Guardiola, although he acknowledged Cherki’s talent, believes he still has room for improvement. Guardiola highlighted that Cherki has extraordinary talent and that his impact in the Premier League in his first season already makes him an exceptional player.
