Mexican Stars, Absent from Mexico’s Call-up for Friendlies
The figures of Mexican soccer, Raúl Jiménez and Edson Álvarez, will not be part of the national team led by Javier Aguirre for the upcoming friendly matches against Colombia and Ecuador, due to recent injury problems.
Jiménez suffered a hip injury after scoring Fulham’s only goal in the 3-1 defeat against Aston Villa in the Premier League. This situation left him out of Friday’s match against Bournemouth.
Mexican defender Huescas is out for the rest of the season, and his participation in the World Cup is in doubt.
