Chelsea has finalized the signing of Joao Pedro, coming from Brighton & Hove Albion, as announced by the clubs.
The 23-year-old footballer has signed a six-year contract with the Stamford Bridge team and could make his debut in the Club World Cup quarter-final match against Palmeiras on Friday.
Sources indicate that Pedro chose to join Chelsea, despite Newcastle’s interest.

Pedro, who was trained at Fluminense in Brazil, arrived in English football in 2020, spending three years at Watford before shining at Brighton. At the Amex, Pedro scored 30 goals and provided 10 assists in two years, in addition to having played three matches with the Brazilian national team. He is expected to compete for a starting position with the also newly arrived Liam Delap.Everyone knows this is a great club with a great history.
