These statements were made by Guardiola at a golf event in Catalonia.

Guardiola also commented on the interest in Espanyol’s goalkeeper, Joan García, whom he described as “extraordinary.” However, the coach downplayed any interest from City in the player.
García, who has a release clause of 25 million euros, has also sparked the interest of other clubs, including FC Barcelona. The coach added:
Joan García is a really good goalkeeper, but City is linked to 500 players in every transfer window.

City’s possible exit from the race for García could facilitate his arrival at Barcelona.
Other Premier League teams, such as Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and Bournemouth, have also shown interest in the goalkeeper.
