Galatasaray Breaks Turkish Record: Osimhen, Star Signing for 75 Million
Victor Osimhen joins Galatasaray. Galatasaray has finalized the incorporation of Victor Osimhen, coming from Napoli, with a long-term contract, as announced by the club. The Turkish Super Lig champion has made the Nigerian international the most expensive signing in the history of Turkish football, paying Napoli 75 million euros to secure his permanent transfer. The previous record in Turkey was held by Fenerbahce, who signed Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla for 20 million euros in July of last year. As part of the agreement, Galatasaray reported that Napoli will receive 10% of any future Osimhen transfer.

A four-year contract has been signed with the player, which will come into effect from the 2025-2026 season.

According to the agreement, the 26-year-old player will receive a guaranteed net salary of 15.0 million euros per season. Osimhen will also receive a net loyalty bonus of 1 million euros per season and 5 million euros in image rights, compensating for the use of his name, image and likeness in the club’s branding and promotional activities. Napoli also confirmed the terms of the agreement. Osimhen, who played last season on loan at the Turkish Super Lig club, arrives from Napoli, Serie A champions, after having been linked with several of Europe’s top clubs. He enjoyed a record-breaking season in Istanbul last year, finishing as the league’s top scorer with 26 goals and also became the foreign player with the most goals in a single season in Turkey, with 37 goals. Osimhen has previously played for Lille and Wolfsburg and has scored 26 goals in 40 matches for Nigeria.
