Nottingham Forest Secures James McAtee from Manchester City
Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign James McAtee, according to sources close to the matter.
The transfer of the 22-year-old player will be finalized for a sum that could reach 30 million pounds (approximately 40.1 million dollars). The agreement includes a sell-on clause and a buy-back option for City.
The England Under-21 international has already been given permission to undergo medical examinations with Forest and finalize the details of his personal contract.
McAtee scored seven goals in 27 games for City last season.
The player has expressed his desire to leave the Etihad Stadium in this transfer window to seek more playing opportunities in the first team.
McAtee preferred not to travel with Pep Guardiola’s team to the FIFA Club World Cup this summer, opting to represent England in the European Under-21 Championship.
