Rute Cardoso Remembers Diogo Jota on Wedding Anniversary
Rute Cardoso, wife of the late Liverpool striker, Diogo Jota, shared an emotional message on social media on the occasion of their first wedding anniversary.
Jota, 28 years old, lost his life along with his brother André Silva, 25, in a car accident that occurred on July 3 near Zamora, Spain. The tragic event occurred a few weeks after his marriage to Cardoso, mother of his three children.

In her first post since the loss of her husband, Cardoso shared three photographs from their wedding held on June 22 in Porto. Alongside the images, she wrote: “One month of our ‘until death do us part'”, adding that she will be his wife “forever”.
The Spanish Civil Guard confirmed that the expert report on the accident is being finalized by its traffic unit before being presented to a local court.
