Belgian goalkeeper and Real Madrid player Thibaut Courtois has been diagnosed with a back problem, his LaLiga club announced on Sunday.

This situation arises just before two World Cup qualifying matches and the start of the Club World Cup.

According to reports from Spanish media, the player will need a week of rest and treatment.

This means Courtois will miss Belgium’s Group J qualifying matches against North Macedonia on Friday and against Wales the following Monday.
