The United States national team midfielder, Johnny Cardoso, has finalized his transfer to Atletico Madrid, coming from Real Betis.
Sources indicated that Cardoso was one of Diego Simeone’s main priorities, who was looking to reinforce his options in defensive midfield.
Tottenham Hotspur had a preferential option to sign the US international as part of the deal that took Giovani Lo Celso to Betis in 2024, but Cardoso will remain in LaLiga after a year and a half at Betis.
