Real Betis maintains hope of repatriating Antony, the Manchester United winger, as confirmed by Manu Fajardo, sporting director of the Spanish club. The Brazilian international, whose contract with United ends in June 2027, could leave Old Trafford this summer. Antony, 25 years old, played the second half of the season on loan at Real Betis, where he experienced a career revival.

“The desire of both parties, player and club, is to be together again,” Fajardo stated to the media when asked about Antony.

United are interested in transferring Antony, who did not participate in the club’s preseason tour of the United States. Other European clubs, such as Benfica, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig, have also shown interest in Antony’s situation. Additionally, Saudi Pro League clubs have also shown interest in the player, who arrived at United in 2022 from Ajax for £85 million. Although Antony performed well at Betis, sources close to the club indicate that they cannot afford a permanent deal and hope to discuss another loan with United. The winger scored nine goals and provided five assists in 26 matches for Betis, helping the Spanish team reach the Conference League final.
