Concern at Arsenal: Saka and Ødegaard injured in the victory

Arsenal faces a complicated moment after their 5-0 victory over Leeds, as two of their stars, Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard, suffered worrying injuries. Mikel Arteta, the team’s coach, expressed his concern about Saka’s injury, who had to leave the field due to a hamstring injury. Saka, author of Arsenal’s second goal in the match, retired without contact and was replaced by Leandro Trossard.

The coach confirmed that Saka’s injury appears to be significant. “Bukayo, while running with the ball, felt something in his hamstring. For Bukayo to retire, it surely seems like something important,” Arteta declared. Ødegaard also had to leave the field in the first half due to a shoulder injury and will undergo tests.

The situation is worsened by the recent injury of Kai Havertz, who will be out of action for an indefinite period due to a knee injury. Arteta lamented the injuries, especially with important matches against Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle and Manchester City approaching.

“These are the negative things of the day. But we are two weeks away from the season and we have already lost Kai, Martin and Bukayo. This tells you how well equipped you have to be in this league to manage and maintain the level we want”.

Arsenal will face Liverpool at Anfield on August 31, before the international break. In addition, the team will learn their Champions League matches on Thursday.
