Amorim busca reforzar el mediocampo del Manchester United con velocidad y potencia

Ruben Amorim, the Manchester United coach, has as his main objective to reinforce the team’s midfield with players who provide speed, power, and athleticism for next season. This decision comes after a disappointing season for the club, the worst in more than 50 years.

Manchester United is set to record its worst league position since the 1973-74 season. They could even finish in seventeenth place, just one position away from the relegation zone, depending on the results of other teams.

The defeat in the Europa League final has confirmed that United will not participate in European competitions next season, which means a significant loss of income.

Amorim demands speed and power: Manchester United's signing plan

Amorim seeks to revitalize Manchester United’s midfield ahead of next season.

Despite financial limitations, Amorim has been assured that he will be supported in making changes to the team. The club is close to closing a deal for £62.5 million for Wolves striker Matheus Cunha.

United also have an interest in Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap, who is available if his £30 million release clause is activated. However, Chelsea are also interested in signing the 22-year-old.

While reinforcing the attack is a priority for Amorim, the coach has made it clear to his recruitment team that he is looking for more energy and mobility in the midfield. He believes that the current options lack the speed, power, and athleticism needed to compete in the Premier League.

Amorim expressed concern about his team’s ability to physically match their rivals in the Europa League final, and those concerns were confirmed in midfield and attack.

With a calendar that will focus solely on domestic matches next season, Amorim wants his team to possess the athleticism needed to compete against Premier League teams.
