Kildunne and Botterman Return for Women’s Rugby World Cup Semi-Final

The prominent players Ellie Kildunne and Hannah Botterman are ready to return from their injuries and reinforce England in the crucial Women’s Rugby World Cup semi-final against France. The anticipated match will take place in Bristol this Saturday. Both Kildunne, who plays as a fullback, and Botterman, prop, suffered injuries in the last group stage match against Australia. In addition, Zoe Harrison, in the fly-half position, and Abbie Ward, as lock, also return to the starting team after having been substitutes in last week’s resounding quarter-final victory against Scotland. Kildunne had to leave the field due to a concussion against the Wallaroos, which kept her out of the game for 12 days. Botterman, for her part, suffered a back spasm.
Ellie Kildunne will be back for England this week.

Ashton Gate was the scene of a great performance in difficult conditions last weekend, and the girls are eager to get back out for the semi-final.

Mitchell also added:

We have earned this stage, and now we have another chance to earn the right. Our game is working and it’s the right path; working together we will continue to improve.

He also commented on the French team:

France has faced challenges, and that will drive them, we hope. We don’t need to be perfect, just effective, focused and ready for the fight. We are excited and ready to hunt them.
