Connor Brown, despite taking a skate to the mouth, managed to score a crucial goal that extended the Oilers’ lead to 3-0 in the second period. This goal came shortly after Brett Kulak scored his first goal in 36 games.

The incident with Brown occurred when Mikael Granlund’s skate hit his mouth.

Stuart Skinner Shines in Goal

Oilers’ goalie Stuart Skinner had a standout performance, recording 25 saves and securing his third shutout this postseason. Skinner has proven to be a key piece for the Oilers, adding his fourth career shutout in the playoffs.

Skinner is the second goaltender in Oilers history to achieve three shutouts in a single postseason, a feat only Curtis Joseph had accomplished in 1998.
