Matthew Tkachuk Stars on the Cover of NHL 26
EA Sports has announced Matthew Tkachuk as the cover star of NHL 26, confirming that the game will be available on September 12, 2025 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Tkachuk has been fundamental in the consecutive Stanley Cup victories of the Florida Panthers in the last two seasons, scoring the goal that gave them the title in this year’s matchup against the Edmonton Oilers.
Although Tkachuk is the only athlete on the cover of the Standard Edition, his brother Brady and his father Keith join him on the cover of the Deluxe Edition. The Tkachuks follow in the footsteps of brothers Quinn, Jack, and Luke Hughes, who graced the cover of the previous iteration.
The Deluxe Edition will include a week of early access, as well as several in-game items, while both versions of the game offer several pre-order benefits, including a 99 OVR card for the current iteration of the series.
NHL 26 will feature gameplay enhanced by NHL EDGE data, X-Factors that improve player skills, a revamped Be A Pro mode that follows an athlete from rookie to superstar, and the new HUT Seasons mode.
