Jackson Blake Secures His Future with the Hurricanes with an Extensive Contract
Carolina Hurricanes forward Jackson Blake has signed an eight-year, $45 million contract extension, according to an official announcement. This agreement will take effect starting in the 2026-27 season. Blake, 21, and son of former NHL player Jason Blake, proved his worth during the past regular season. He recorded 17 goals and 17 assists in 80 games. In the playoffs, he added three goals and three assists in 15 games.The 5-foot-11-inch right wing was selected by the Hurricanes in the fourth round of the 2021 draft. Previously, he played two seasons at the University of North Dakota.“Jackson had an outstanding rookie season, and we believe he’s just beginning to show the player he can become,” said Eric Tulsky, Hurricanes general manager, in a team statement.
