Frank Nazar Secures His Future with the Blackhawks in a Million-Dollar Contract

The Chicago Blackhawks have reached an agreement with forward Frank Nazar for a seven-year contract extension, valued at $46.13 million. The official announcement of the contract was made on Thursday. The agreement represents an impact of $6.59 million on the team’s salary cap, effective from the 2026-27 season through 2033. Nazar, aged 20 and 21, accumulated 26 points in 53 games during the last season. His performance was key for the United States to obtain the world hockey championship, an achievement not seen since 1933. In addition, he was invited to the Olympic orientation camp this month, as a potential player for the Milan Games.

Frank elevated his game last season and has proven to be one of the most outstanding young talents in the league. He drives the game with his exceptional speed and playmaking skills, generating challenges for opponents and opportunities for his teammates every night. Frank is a fundamental piece of our team, and we are excited to have him with us for the next eight seasons.

Kyle Davidson, General Manager
Nazar is expected to play an important role in Chicago’s long-term future, along with Connor Bedard, the first pick of the 2023 draft, and young defenseman Artyom Levshunov.
