KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Xavier Worthy, the fastest receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, is ready to participate in Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. Worthy, who missed the previous two games due to a right shoulder injury, performed well in the practices leading up to Week 4, according to coach Andy Reid.
In the season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers, Worthy suffered a dislocated right shoulder on the third play of the game. The injury occurred when Worthy collided with tight end Travis Kelce. The Chiefs started the season with a 0-2 record, partly because the offense, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, struggled with a reduced group of receivers. Rashee Rice, Mahomes’s main receiver, began the season serving a six-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy, and rookie Jalen Royals missed the first two games due to a right knee injury. This week, Worthy was seen running routes during the open part of training without additional protection on his right arm. He is expected to play against the Ravens using a small harness on his right shoulder. For the first time this season, Mahomes is expected to have the majority of his passing options, including Kelce and a group of receivers that includes Worthy, Hollywood Brown, and Tyquan Thornton, who leads the Chiefs with 171 yards and two touchdowns. The Ravens come into Sunday’s game with the defense ranked 31st in points allowed. It feels good. We don’t have to worry about his legs. He has managed to stay in good shape and is ready to play.

“Having him back will definitely change a lot for us,” Kelce added.I love that guy, man. He’s a very hard worker, a valuable piece. He draws a lot of attention because of his speed and his ability to make plays with the ball in his hands. It’s really amazing the impact he has on a game when he’s on the field.
