Tyrone Tracy Jr. Suffers Shoulder Dislocation and Will Be Out of Action

New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. suffered a dislocated right shoulder during Sunday night’s game, according to sources. The player is expected to miss a considerable amount of time due to this injury. The injury occurred after a hard hit near the sideline, where Tracy was intercepted by two Kansas City Chiefs defenders in the second quarter of the match. Immediately, the running back touched his right arm, indicating the problem to the medical team. Before leaving the game due to the injury, the second-year running back accumulated seven carries for a total of 29 yards. He was unable to return to the field. Following Tracy’s injury, rookie Cam Skattebo took on the bulk of the workload at the running back position, outplaying veteran Devin Singletary by a wide margin. Skattebo gained a total of 121 yards on 16 plays against the Chiefs. The player, selected in the fourth round of the draft, is anticipated to have a greater responsibility in the absence of Tracy. Tracy, who was selected in the fifth round last year, was coming off a standout rookie season, where he ran for 839 yards and scored five touchdowns, averaging 4.4 yards per carry. The Giants had high expectations for Tracy this season, although his yards per carry average in the first three games was 3.1. Before the injury, Tracy was showing improvement in his game against the Chiefs, accumulating 22 carries for 68 yards in the first three games.

It’s tough to see a player like Tracy, one of your star running backs, go down with a shoulder injury on the sideline. He had had good runs, good plays. I think it was difficult for us, but we fought until the end.

Currently, the Giants are ranked 21st in the NFL, averaging 96.0 rushing yards per game.
