L’Jarius Sneed Cleared to Practice with the Titans

The Tennessee Titans have activated cornerback L’Jarius Sneed from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list this Wednesday. Sneed passed his physical and was cleared to return to training. The defensive player, in his sixth season in the league, has gone through a long recovery process after injuring his quadriceps in the fifth week of last season, during a game against the Indianapolis Colts. Initially, the injury was diagnosed as a contusion, but it was later determined to be a strain, which required more recovery time than anticipated.

It’s good to have him back on the field. He’s eager and has done everything he can in the training room to get to this point. I’m excited for the young man, not just for the football player, because I know the work he’s put in to be there.

Sneed underwent surgery to treat the quadriceps injury and also a knee cleanup in May. These interventions and the subsequent recovery prevented him from participating in the offseason activities (OTAs) and minicamp. Sneed began training camp on the PUP list. The Titans acquired Sneed from the Kansas City Chiefs last year, in exchange for a 2025 third-round pick and a swap of seventh-round picks in 2024. Shortly after the trade, Sneed signed a four-year, $76 million contract with the Titans. Before last season, Sneed played in at least 94% of the Chiefs’ defensive plays in the last three seasons.
