Shooting at Chiefs’ facilities: Andy Reid unharmed
A concerning incident shook the Kansas City Chiefs’ training facilities last year. A projectile hit the glass of coach Andy Reid’s office while he was working alone, according to reports.
The incident, which occurred on May 4, 2024, around midnight, did not cause physical harm to Reid, who was fortunately unharmed. The bullet, fired from outside the facilities, went through the office window and lodged in a wall a few meters from where the coach was.
Sources close to the matter reported that, following the incident, bulletproof glass was installed in Reid’s office to ensure his safety.
In total, three shots were fired at the three-story building that night. One hit the third floor, another hit Reid’s office, and the third hit an air conditioning unit. Fortunately, no other person present was injured.
Local authorities, who are investigating the case as aggravated assault due to the presence of people at the scene, have not yet made any arrests.
According to official statements, there is no indication that the incident was directed at any specific person or organization.
The Chiefs have not issued comments about the incident.
