CINCINNATI – Former NFL player Adam “Pacman” Jones was arrested early Saturday morning in the Cincinnati metropolitan area, according to court records. Jones, 41, was booked into Kenton County Jail shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday. The arrest was made by the Covington Police Department. Charges include alcohol intoxication in a public place, disorderly conduct, and assault on a police officer or probation officer. After posting a $10,000 bond, Jones was released around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. No further details about the incident were provided. This arrest in Covington, which is located across the Ohio River from Cincinnati, represents at least the fourth time since 2021 that Jones has been arrested. Furthermore, it is the third consecutive year that he faces charges for public intoxication. In 2023, Jones was removed from a flight bound for Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport and charged with alcohol intoxication, disorderly conduct, and terrorist threats.
Last year, he was arrested for public intoxication and assaulting a peace officer while in Arlington, Texas, for the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson boxing event.
The most serious incident in recent years occurred in 2021, when Jones pleaded no contest to two counts of misdemeanor assault for a bar fight in Cincinnati. He served 18 days in jail, according to Hamilton County court records. Jones was the sixth overall pick in the 2005 NFL draft and played for 12 seasons in the league, from 2005 to 2018, including eight seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. He was selected All-Pro as a kick returner in 2014 and participated in the Pro Bowl in 2015 as a cornerback.
