Lamar Jackson: Another Week, Another Injury for the Ravens Quarterback
OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The situation with Lamar Jackson continues to generate concern. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback is once again in the spotlight due to a new injury. For the second consecutive week, Jackson did not participate in Wednesday’s training. This time, the injury is to his ankle. Last week, Jackson missed Wednesday’s practice with a knee issue, but returned to practice the following two days and played in the 23-16 victory against the Cleveland Browns.Harbaugh didn’t offer more details about Jackson’s status, limiting himself to saying: “I know it’s Lamar, our quarterback. I understand how important he is, and it wasn’t the best for him to practice today. We’ll see how we are on Thursday.” This season, Jackson has been sacked an average of 3.2 times per game, the most in his eight-year career. On Sunday, Jackson was sacked five times by the Browns, including four times by Myles Garrett. It has been a difficult season for Jackson, who missed three games due to a hamstring injury. In total, he has missed eight training sessions this season. Jackson is looking to break a streak of two games in which he has completed 57.4% of his passes for an average of 184.5 yards. On Sunday, he did not throw any touchdown passes and had two interceptions, with a passer rating of 47.6, the second-worst of his career.“Yes, it’s the same type of situation,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh replied when asked if Jackson’s absence this week was similar to last week’s.

The Ravens (5-5), who have won four straight games, host the New York Jets (2-8) on Sunday.“Lamar is winning games,” Harbaugh said. “Finding ways to win the game, that’s what it’s about; that’s what matters. I think Lamar did a great job in both games playing that type of winning football.”
