Lamar Jackson Absent from Ravens Practice
OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson did not participate in Thursday’s practice, a day after leaving practice early.
On Wednesday, Jackson retired from the field and headed to the team facilities with the medical staff, missing about 40 minutes to finish the session. A team spokesman indicated that Jackson suffered a foot injury, but that he was fine.
During the team’s drills, Jackson, a two-time NFL Most Valuable Player, fell to the ground. He stayed to throw a couple more passes before leaving the field. Before leaving, it appeared Jackson was flexing his right wrist.
This is the first practice that Jackson misses due to injury at this year’s training camp. He hasn’t been sidelined by injury for a regular season game since the end of the 2022 season.
Baltimore will close the preseason on Saturday in Washington. Jackson has not played in a preseason game in four years.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh is scheduled to speak after Thursday’s practice. The Ravens kick off the season in 17 days, when they play the Buffalo Bills.
