Robert Kraft Expects a Bill Belichick Statue Next to Tom Brady’s
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft revealed his desire for a statue of Bill Belichick to accompany Tom Brady’s in front of Gillette Stadium.Brady and Belichick led the Patriots to six Super Bowl championships. Belichick’s tenure as head coach lasted 24 years, ending after the 2023 season. Kraft and Belichick announced their separation on January 11, 2024, at Gillette Stadium. Subsequently, tensions arose between the two. Belichick expressed in an interview how it is easier to create a shared vision in his new role, mentioning that “there is no owner, no owner’s son”. Kraft’s comments about the Belichick statue come four days before the start of the 2025 season, where the Patriots will face the Las Vegas Raiders at home, in the first game under new coach Mike Vrabel. Vrabel played for the Patriots from 2001 to 2008 and was part of three Super Bowl-winning teams.“When that great 20-year era ended, it was always my intention to commission a statue for both Tommy and Bill when their respective careers ended, playing and coaching,” Kraft told WBZ-TV.
