Lamar Jackson Misses Game Against Texans Due to Injury
The Baltimore Ravens’ star quarterback, Lamar Jackson, will not be available for Sunday’s matchup against the Houston Texans due to a hamstring injury. Jackson was unable to participate in practice all week, ruling him out for the game.
In the absence of Jackson, the Ravens will turn to backup Cooper Rush, former player for the Dallas Cowboys. The team will seek to avoid a season start with a 1-4 record for the second time in its history.
Jackson suffered the injury during the Ravens’ 37-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday. The two-time NFL Most Valuable Player has not missed a game due to injury since the end of the 2022 season.
Since 2018, Baltimore has a 4-10 record without Jackson on the field.
In addition, Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton was also one of the players who did not practice on Friday and is listed as questionable for the game.
