HOUSTON – The Texans and rookie wide receiver Jayden Higgins have reached an agreement on a four-year, $11,700,824 fully guaranteed contract. This makes Higgins the first player selected in the second round in NFL history to get a fully guaranteed contract.

Traditionally, only players selected in the first round receive fully guaranteed contracts. However, Texans general manager Nick Caserio didn’t hesitate to make history with Higgins’ agent, Chris Cabott, of EquitySports.

This decision reflects the Texans’ confidence in Higgins, whom they selected with the 34th pick of the draft, coming from Iowa State. In 2024, Higgins accumulated 1,183 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.

Jayden is a great target. I know many say he’s very similar to Nico Collins and what he can do, but having a receiver of his stature and with his catch radius opens up a lot of offensive options that excite all our players.
