Isaiah Likely Suffers Foot Fracture: Concern for the Ravens?

Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely suffered a small foot fracture during Tuesday’s practice, according to sources close to the team.

According to sources, Likely is expected to return to the field at the beginning of the season if his recovery progresses favorably. There is a possibility that he could be available for the Ravens’ season opener on September 7 against the Buffalo Bills.

The injury, which was not the result of contact, occurred on the last play of Tuesday’s practice, during an individual training session against safety Sanoussi Kane. Likely had to be taken off the field on a cart and then entered the locker room limping.

Likely, 25 years old, is in the final year of his rookie contract and has a salary of $3.4 million for this season. Selected in the fourth round of the 2022 draft, Likely had personal bests last season, with 42 receptions, 477 yards, and six touchdowns.

The Ravens boast one of the NFL’s strongest tight end groups, with Likely, Mark Andrews, and Charlie Kolar. All three players will be free agents after this season.

If Likely can’t play for a considerable amount of time, Kolar could have a more important role. Kolar, known for his blocking ability, achieved nine receptions for 131 yards and a touchdown last season.
