Seahawks’ Charles Cross Undergoes Finger Surgery, But Recovery Expected for Season Opener

Seattle Seahawks’ star left tackle, Charles Cross, underwent finger surgery on Wednesday. Despite this intervention, he is expected to be ready for the season opener, as confirmed by a source to Alofoke Deportes on Thursday.

Cross suffered a dislocation in the finger of his right hand. He had been trying to play despite the injury, practicing with his little and ring fingers taped together.

After his finger dislocated again, Cross opted for surgery. The expectation is that he will be fully recovered for the team’s first game, scheduled for September 7th.

Cross has been the Seahawks’ starting left tackle since he was selected in the ninth overall position in the 2022 draft. The team exercised his fifth-year option in the spring.

The player told reporters on Tuesday that there have been no conversations yet between his agents and the Seahawks about a possible contract extension.

Josh Jones, who was signed as a reserve tackle, has been filling in for Cross with the Seahawks’ first-team offense in the last two days.
