Omarion Hampton to the Reserve List Due to Injury

Los Angeles Chargers starting running back Omarion Hampton will be placed on injured reserve due to an ankle injury, according to coach Jim Harbaugh, announced this Monday.

This decision means Hampton will miss at least the next four games.

The rookie suffered the injury during the Chargers’ 27-10 defeat to the Washington Commanders.

This setback represents the second significant blow to the Chargers’ running back depth so far this season. Veteran Najee Harris suffered a season-ending Achilles tendon injury last month.

In the current season, Hampton has accumulated 314 rushing yards and two touchdowns. In addition, he has achieved 20 receptions and 136 receiving yards.
