Joe Burrow: No Definitive Timeline for Return After Surgery
Cincinnati Bengals coach Zac Taylor has not provided an estimated return date for quarterback Joe Burrow, after he underwent successful toe surgery on Friday morning. Burrow underwent surgery to repair an injury to his left toe, Taylor reported after Friday’s practice. The coach confirmed that the surgery was a success.Sources close to the team suggest that Burrow could be out of action for three months. The procedure was carried out at the Andrews Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Starting with Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings, Jake Browning will assume the role of starting quarterback while Burrow recovers. Browning already had the opportunity to lead the team in seven games during the 2023 season, when Burrow suffered a wrist injury that ended his season.There is no reason to set a deadline.
