Joe Burrow Could Return to the Field on Thursday
Cincinnati Bengals coach Zac Taylor reported this Monday that he anticipates the return of quarterback Joe Burrow for Thursday night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.Although Taylor didn’t officially confirm Burrow’s participation, he stated that the quarterback has done “everything possible” to recover from a toe injury that has kept him out of action since September. Taylor indicated that Burrow will continue working during the week before a final decision is made about his return. Burrow fully participated in Wednesday and Thursday’s practices last week, but was limited on Friday, which led Taylor to opt for Joe Flacco as the starter in Sunday’s loss to the New England Patriots, with a score of 26-20. Taylor also announced that, in case Burrow plays on Thursday night, Flacco will be the backup. Regarding other injury news, Taylor ruled out Tee Higgins for Thursday’s game due to a concussion suffered on Sunday. In addition, he confirmed the absence of pass rusher Trey Hendrickson, who has missed the last three games due to a hip injury. He looks to be in good shape right now and will be ready to play.
