Significant Losses on the Bengals’ Offensive Line

Cincinnati, OH – The Cincinnati Bengals have suffered a considerable loss on their offensive line. Guard Cordell Volson will miss the entire season due to a right shoulder injury. This was confirmed by coach Zac Taylor this Wednesday. Volson will undergo surgery to repair the injury suffered during a practice on August 15th.

It’s a tough blow for him. He’s worked very hard for us. I wouldn’t say it’s written in stone until he has surgery, but that seems to be the direction.

Zac Taylor, Bengals Coach
Volson, selected in the fourth round of the 2022 draft, was projected to be the backup right guard this season. In the last three seasons, he started 48 of 50 games at left guard. During this offseason, Volson and the Bengals agreed to restructure his contract, reducing the total value to $2.6 million.
