Warriors Cut Seth Curry: A Strategic Move

The Golden State Warriors have made the decision to cut guard Seth Curry, according to reports. However, the expectation is that Curry will return to the team in the coming weeks.

This move has been made due to the financial limitations the team faces in the context of the new salary cap. The Warriors are in a situation where they cannot afford to have an additional veteran minimum contract until early November.

Golden State’s roster will keep its fifteenth and final vacant spot until the guard’s early return.

During the last few weeks, Seth Curry, younger brother of Stephen Curry, has been training at the team’s facilities and accompanying the team on its only preseason trip in October, although he has not participated in the preseason games.

Seth Curry began his 11-year career in the G League with the Santa Cruz program, but later chose to play for other NBA teams, demonstrating his desire to forge his own professional path.

His career has been marked by notable success in shooting. Curry’s younger brother has made 945 three-pointers in his career, with an impressive 43.3% percentage, ranking seventh in league history.

This summer, Seth considered it the right time to join Steph, who has always wanted to play with his brother in the NBA. Although delayed, the plan is still in motion despite this decision.
