Trae Young Progresses in His Recovery: Reevaluation in Two Weeks

Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young is showing positive progress in the recovery from his medial collateral ligament (MCL) sprain in his right knee. The team has reported that he will be re-evaluated in approximately two weeks.

Young suffered the injury on October 29 during a game against the Brooklyn Nets. Since then, he has missed 15 games and his absence was anticipated to extend until mid-December.

Before Friday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the point guard took some shots during warm-up.

Before the injury, the defending assist champion averaged 17.8 points and 7.8 assists per game.

The Hawks have maintained a 10-5 record since Young injured his knee. Jalen Johnson has taken on a more prominent role, achieving 10 double-doubles, including two triple-doubles, during those 15 games.
