In a tense encounter, Jalen Suggs, player for the Orlando Magic, was ejected from the game against the Philadelphia 76ers, just 27 seconds before the end of the first half.
The situation was triggered after a heated dispute between both teams.
Andre Drummond of the 76ers pulled on the jersey of Orlando’s Wendell Carter Jr., which led to a scuffle near the Magic’s free throw line. Despite the tension, no punches were thrown.
Suggs intervened by pushing Drummond, and Philadelphia’s Jabari Walker got between the players, leading to more pushing and shoving.
Suggs explained that he intervened because he didn’t like Drummond confronting Carter. He stated that he had no regrets and would do it again “10 out of 10 times”. The Magic dominated the second quarter, outscoring Philadelphia by 26 points and taking an 86-60 lead at halftime. Orlando finally took the victory with a score of 144-103.In my opinion, getting into it is a bit too crazy, so that’s what happened at that moment. I don’t regret it. I will defend my brother every time. I will accept the fine. I don’t think I should have been ejected, but I accept it. I’m not going to argue with the decision, so we move on. I don’t hold a grudge against anyone.
