Trae Young: Progressing in His Knee Injury Recovery
The Atlanta Hawks’ star point guard, Trae Young, is showing favorable progress in his recovery from the medial collateral ligament (MCL) injury in his right knee.
The franchise reported that Young will be reevaluated in approximately two weeks.
Young suffered the injury during a game against the Brooklyn Nets on October 29. Since then, he has missed 15 games and was expected to be out of the courts until mid-December.
Before Friday night’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the point guard took some warm-up shots.
The current leader in assists averages 17.8 points and 7.8 assists per game.
The Hawks have maintained a 10-5 record since Young injured his knee. Jalen Johnson has taken on a more important role and has achieved 10 double-doubles, including two triple-doubles, during those 15 games.
