INGLEWOOD, Calif. – James Harden did not participate in the LA Clippers’ game against the Golden State Warriors on Monday night. The guard, 36 years old, felt stiffness in his right shoulder and did warm-ups before being ruled out for the game. This is only the third time he has missed a game so far this season. Harden averages 25.7 points per game, his best mark since the 2019-20 season, when he led the NBA in scoring. In addition, he ranks seventh in the league with 8.0 assists per game and is tied for tenth place in minutes played, with 35.4. Harden played a significant amount of minutes when Kawhi Leonard missed 10 games in November due to a sprained ankle and a foot problem.

I think it’s definitely physical fatigue, because of all the things he had to do in terms of carrying the offense when Kawhi wasn’t there. We didn’t really have a secondary scorer. He had to do a lot for us.
