NBA Brings Basketball Excitement to Europe for Three Seasons
The NBA expands its borders and will hold at least six regular season games in Europe over the next three seasons. The initiative will begin with two exciting matches between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Orlando Magic this season. The Grizzlies and the Magic will face each other in Berlin on January 15, and then in London on January 18. The NBA also plans to play games in Manchester, England, and Paris in the 2026-27 season, and then return to Berlin and Paris in the 2027-28 season. The games will be held at the Uber Arena in Berlin, The O2 in London, Co-op Live in Manchester, and the Accor Arena in Paris.The Berlin game in January will mark the NBA’s 14th in Germany since 1984, but it will be the first regular season game in the country. It will be a homecoming for Magic players Franz and Moritz Wagner, both members of the German national team.“Announcing regular season games in Europe for the next three seasons reflects the incredible momentum and appetite for NBA basketball in France, Germany, the United Kingdom and throughout the region,” said George Aivazoglou, NBA Managing Director for Europe and the Middle East. “We look forward to welcoming the Grizzlies and the Magic to Berlin and London, and to engaging fans, players and local communities through the games and the events surrounding them.”

The London game this season will be the tenth regular season game in that city. Manchester has never hosted a regular season game, and Paris has been the venue for five regular season games, including two last season between the Indiana Pacers and the San Antonio Spurs. The complete NBA schedule for the 2025-26 season is expected to be released in mid-August. The dates and participating teams for the 2027 and 2028 games will be announced before the 2026-27 and 2027-28 NBA seasons, respectively.“For the Orlando Magic and the NBA to play a regular season game in our hometown, Berlin, means everything to us,” the Wagner brothers said in a statement. “We grew up here, dreaming of moments like this.
