Stephen Curry Exits Game with Knee Pain

The Golden State Warriors star, Stephen Curry, had to leave the game during the second half of the 131-124 loss to the Detroit Pistons on Friday night, due to discomfort in his right knee. Curry scored a stumbling layup despite getting fouled with 4:28 left in the third quarter, but began gesturing in pain and limping after the whistle, feeling discomfort in his right knee. He left the game 20 seconds later, briefly met with the coaches, and then limped toward the locker room. After the game, Curry was icing his right knee in the locker room. He was still limping when he left the arena and did not speak to reporters. This is not a new problem for Curry. It appeared on the team’s injury report six days ago after experiencing swelling and discomfort in his right knee following an individual workout in Minneapolis. The team listed it as patellofemoral inflammation.

I think it’s okay. I don’t think it’s anything serious, but we’ll have an update on Saturday.

Curry out due to knee pain: Concern in Warriors for NBA star
Curry was listed as questionable for Golden State’s Sunday game in Minneapolis and played despite the injury during a victory over the Timberwolves. The Warriors rested him for Monday’s rematch against the Timberwolves, but cleared him for Wednesday’s game against the Utah Jazz and Friday’s home game against the Pistons. Kerr confirmed that the discomfort was related to the same right knee issue that kept Curry out of Monday’s game in Minnesota.

He’s been bothering him recently.
