Stephen Curry Misses Game Against Heat Due to Injury

The Golden State Warriors star, Stephen Curry, will not participate in Wednesday night’s game against Miami due to ankle discomfort.

Curry suffered a sprain in his right ankle last Friday during a game in San Antonio, where he scored 49 points. The injury recurred during the first half of Tuesday night’s game in Orlando.

The player stated after the match that he would wait to see how his ankle responded after the plane trip and rest. The Warriors ruled him out six hours before the game against the Heat.

The team expects Curry to be able to play again on Friday night against the Portland Trail Blazers in San Francisco.

In addition to Curry, other key players on the team, such as Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green, are doubtful for the match.

Butler is dealing with the same lower back discomfort that caused him to miss a game in Sacramento earlier this season.

Green and backup guard Buddy Hield are also questionable due to illness. Veteran center Al Horford will rest on the second night of a back-to-back. Jonathan Kuminga remains out with tendinitis in his knee.

This game marks the end of a demanding road trip for the Warriors. After Wednesday night, they will have played the most games in the league, 17, in the first 29 days of the season, in 12 cities, including five back-to-backs, the most in the NBA. The next five games will be at home.
